Airtac Lancer Level 2
This is the build I personally designed for myself—and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a true high-end setup. Every component in this build is carefully selected for maximum durability and long-term reliability, capable of withstanding whatever abuse you throw its way. The goal was to create a system that delivers the best of all worlds: lightning-fast trigger response, blazing full-auto performance at a minimum of 30 RPS (depending on the battery), and consistent output around 380 FPS. Unlike its lower-tier counterpart, this build has no weaknesses—it’s built to perform, and built to last.
Build Process
Step 1: Disassembly and Cleaning
The first step was a full teardown—and nearly everything from the original build was thrown out!
The stock gearbox was replaced with the rock-solid Retro Arms Immortal gearbox shell, known for its durability and precision fit.
Motor Replacement
Powering the build is the tried-and-true Real Deal Golden Boy motor—reliable, responsive, and fast.
Gears
The original gears were swapped out for Real Deal 13:1 optimized gears. These provide excellent performance and improved tappet plate timing. They’re perfectly matched for high-speed, high-efficiency builds.
Bushings
While the original bushings were acceptable, I opted for Real Deal FLT bushings. These offer even lower resistance and long-term reliability. It's a zero-failure component you’ll never need to think twice about.
Piston Work
The SHS-clone piston was lightened to reduce stress on the gearbox and increase efficiency. I also adjusted the angle of engagement (AOE) with a spacer and removed the second tooth for smoother operation and optimized wear.
Piston Head Upgrade
The original piston head was upgraded to the Real Deal piston head, which provides better air efficiency and performs more consistently under high rates of fire.
Nozzle Upgrade
To ensure a perfect air seal, I installed a 21.1mm POM nozzle.
(Note: If you choose the upgraded hop-up, this will be swapped to a 21.0mm nozzle for ideal compatibility.)
Perun Pro
The Perun Pro is one of the best MOSFETs on the market, offering every feature you could possibly want. I can also modify the original trigger to have the trigger feel, just like it would normally be on safe.
